The Case for Fair Pay
Because London Weighting should reflect London living
A successful campaign is built on evidence.
We’re bringing together independent research, member feedback, economic analysis and industry comparisons to demonstrate why London’s current weighting allowance no longer reflects the true cost of living and working in the capital.
Every survey response and personal story helps strengthen the evidence we present to BT Group, policymakers and stakeholders.

Cost of Living Analysis
Housing, transport, energy, food and other everyday essentials have all become significantly more expensive, while the London Weighting allowance has remained unchanged. As inflation has reduced the spending power of wages, many members are finding that a greater proportion of their income is consumed by unavoidable living costs before they have even budgeted for savings or family commitments.

We need you!
Real change starts with real voices. Whether you complete our survey, share your experience, speak to the media, contact your MP or simply help spread the campaign, every action strengthens the case for a fair review of London Weighting.
Housing & Transport
Average house prices and private rents in the capital remain significantly higher than the UK average, forcing many workers to live further from their place of work in search of more affordable accommodation. Longer commutes often mean higher rail fares, increased fuel costs, parking charges and more time spent travelling each day.
